We are deeply saddened by the death of Mr Marian Turski, Holocaust survivor, member of the International Auschwitz Council and close friend of our Embassy.

The 11th commandment ‘don't be indifferent!’, expressed by Mr Turski on the occasion of the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp, will remain with us forever.

In January 2020, Mr Turski received from Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel the insignia of the Order of Merit of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg during the ceremony at the Embassy of Luxembourg in Warsaw.
