The National Day of Luxembourg

On June 23th, the Embassy of Luxembourg in Warsaw celebrated the National Day of Luxembourg. The reception with more than 200 guests took place at the Ambassador’s residence. The reception was opened by remarks from Mr Georges Faber, the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy to Poland:

"This year’s National Day celebration is of particular significance because Luxembourg was actually created as a political entity at the Vienna Congress in 1815; that is 200 years ago.

(...)

The Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union, due to start on the first of July, is committed to contribute to building a stronger Europe based on common values and principles.

(...)

While taking over the responsibilities of the EU presidency in Warsaw (and in Riga and Vilnius as well), I will not neglect the further development of the bilateral relationship between Poland and Luxembourg".
