Classical ensemble Lucilin from Luxembourg performed at the Royal Castle in Warsaw

On 9th of July at 19.00 hour at the Royal Castle courtyard in Warsaw the Luxemburg classical ensemble Lucilin performed together with Polish musicians from the Hashtag Ensemble as a part of Musical Gardens Festival 2015 (Festiwal Ogrody Muzyczne). The concert was supported by and held under the honorary patronage of the Embassy of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg to Poland.

From the preface of Mr Georges Faber, the Ambassador of Luxembourg to Poland:

On this occasion I would like to congratulate “Music Gardens” Foundation for the high level and abundance which the festival presents for fifteen years on the prestigious courtyard of the Royal Castle in Warsaw. I would like also to thank organisers for including a concert of the Luxembourg ensemble and documentary films about my country in the festival’s programme.

I would like to express my joy for the participation of Luxembourg group “Lucilin”. The choice of a subject [Space] is not coincidental from the Luxembourg point of view. My country is one of the European pioneers when it comes to television broadcast, and among the indigenous Luxembourg enterprises it has a leader in the area of satellite-based telecommunication - television, programmes on demand, broadband internet and navigation satellite systems.

Along with Polish artists from “Hashtag Ensemble” the Luxembourg group will present us three special pieces, among which one was composed by Polish composer and one by the Luxembourgish. Is there any better way to celebrate the beginning of Luxembourg Presidency in the Council of the European Union here in Poland and at the same time to highlight through the art the depth and the abundance of relationships between our countries?
