69th anniversary of the massacre of 91 young Luxembourgers at the German prison of Sonnenburg (Slońsk)

On 31 January 2014, the Ambassador, Mr. Georges Faber and his spouse Mrs. Barbara Faber-Mohr, accompnaied by Mr. Paweł Kuraszkiewicz, the Honorary Consul of Luxembourg in Poznan, participated in the commemorative events on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the massacre of 819 prisoners from different countries by the SS at the prisoner’s camp of Sonnenburg (Slońsk). 91 young Luxembourgers (réfractaires) were among the victims. They laid down a wreath on the honorary cemetery in front of the monument commemorating the victims of this terrible massacre in the night of 30 to 31 January 1945. They also laid down a wreath at of the monument commemorating the Luxembourg victims.
